I can't remember the first time I heard a Chris Ledoux song, but the first time I saw him live was the spring of 1984, I was at Casper College and he was a one man band at a Dance. My favorite songs are Copenhagen, because it reminds me of the person who turned me on to Chris, County Fair, Cadillac Ranch. I love them all. People get in my car and laugh, cause it has a 6 disc CD player and they are all Chris Ledoux.
A wonderful man who helps people with his songs.
My favorite song is Look at You Girl. It is the most amazing song that I have ever heard. It has a special place in my heart because my aunt, who was like a second mom to me, was the first person to ever have me listen to it and I played it at her funeral a couple years ago. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
I grew up listening to Chris's albums on a 45 rpm Fisher Price record player while going to sleep at night and will always believe his early stuff was the best. "The Winner" says exactly what every little cowboy dreams of in his mind and that song has always reminded me of the power of big dreams. That's what he did his whole life was live out a little boys dreams.
My favorite songs have to be "This Cowboy's Hat", & "Hooked On An 8 Second Ride." This Cowboy's Hat is my ringtone. 8 Second ride because I just love bull riding & rodeo's. I also love the cowboy's prayer song.
I think all of Chris's songs are amazing stories and tales. Narrow it to just one is impossible! My two favorites however have got to be Western Skies, because I love living under these Western Skies. The other would be The Cowboy and The Hippie. Because I Love my freedom where freedom is almost gone.
I love 2 songs by Chris. 1 is "This Cowboy's Hat" and that is my ringtone. The 2nd one is "Hooked On An 8 Second Ride. That is because I love rodeo's and bull ridings.
i love all his songs i love the story and the way he put them in the songs that he did
Everybody is right in saying it's hard to choose but there is one song that really got to me and that was ''silence on the line'' back when he was on lucky man music.. sure do miss him
